Skyler initially admired Avery, mainly for her popularity, but never is shown to interact with her at first. However, she forms a friendship with Avery, with Avery talking about her and the other A’s origins and Skyler even offering to be their new A, which she seems to like. The two become so caught up in talking, that they fail to notice they left the fabric in the dye bath for too long, with Skyler blaming herself and Avery standing up for her. Bella and Avery became close friends when they bonded about feeling unsure of their friendships, with Avery opening up about Ainsley shutting her out. To mend their feelings, Avery takes Bella out on a joy ride in her car, bonding them and cheering them both up. Her and Jade have similar tastes and they seem to be good friends as well as roommates. They were both the most upset when Bella got expelled and the video of her went viral. Her signature heeled sandals are inspired by Christian Louboutin, whose shoes are known for their signature red soles.

Bella had a much duller, more rose gold color scheme within the first few episodes of the animated series. For an unknown reason, this was changed to a brighter, more pink color. Ruby and the rest of the group are greeted by Ms. Wright, who gives the girls the grand project of designing cheer uniforms and designing a cheer to go with them. Being the graphic designer she is, Ruby takes on the job of making the emblems for the outfits. However, she gets into a slight argument with Jade, who thinks their two visions for the designs don't match. Amaya however, mends this by thinking of making totally customized uniforms. The girls end up with a variety of looks, and after doing a performance for Ms. Wright, they pass the project. At Rainbow High, students follow the G.L.A.M Squad, representing Grit, Love, Action, and Moxie! It’s all about being bold and creative rather than hiding in the shadows. The Rainbow High students are all about being the fashionistas of all dolls!

Bella's T-shirt in her signature outfit has a very similar design to the logo of the California Dream Barbie line of dolls. This might be an intentional nod as Barbie is heavily associated with the color pink. She is the first main character to form a close friendship with someone from Shadow High, this friendship being formed with Shanelle. Her name was Poppy Harlow in the ending credits of " When the GLAM Hits The Fan", It was later confirmed that it was a writer's mistake. Days later, Ruby and her friends decide on their first runway look, with Poppy helping break the tie. After this, they all celebrate and prepare for the upcoming party she's DJing, with Ruby reminding everyone to plan their outfits.She is working on a makeup brand called "Look Up", the name referencing what she tells clients when she does their eye makeup Both being music focused, Poppy and Daria get along well and have lots in common. Combining their skills, they have worked together on many music themed projects in their school, including their Radiant Week projects. Bella's blazer and skirt featured in her signature outfit and her dress in the second outfit are likely inspired by the signature style of Chanel's tweed suits. She seems to be a huge fan of Tiara as she was hypnotized when Tiara entered the stage. Additionally, she cheered for her and the rest of The Royal Three.
