However, I’m not sure I truly learned anything about Henderson, nor the success of the Liverpool team in recent years. We tend to put footballers on a pedestal but they are human beings and Jordan clearly has a big heart and so much passion for the game, while staying grounded and thankful for all that he has, especially his lovely family. So, it was great to reminisce and to pick up a few anecdotes from that period and insights into how he and other players dealt with the many ups and downs. Full of passion and triumph, this is a candid insight into the lifeof a footballer as you've never read before.

Penguin Michael Joseph has secured England and Liverpool footballer Jordan Henderson’s autobiography. I hope he publishes another autobiography when his career is over, so we can get more insights into the national team, his clubs, and his upbringing. The book is extremely ordinary, like the interviews footballers give after matches which lack proper substance. Outside the football pitch, Jordan's won plaudits for his support for the LGBT+ community and, during Covid, for the NHS, contributing towards his appointment of an MBE in 2021.Jordan Henderson is all of these things, and it is why he is one of the most widely respected players of his generation. The main focus of the book is his footballing career, there is not much really regarding growing up and life before football because as fans will be aware, football is his life. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. The narrative is pretty boring, and it fails to propely display his experiences when winning differents trophies. I've followed Jordan Henderson closely since his arrival at Liverpool, so I knew most of the stuff there and it was refreshing to read about it directly from his point of view.

He may not be the best footballer in the world, and certainly a fair amount of fair and unfair criticism has been aimed at him, but you only have to look at what he and the team, with Jürgen and his coaching staff at the helm, have won throughout the years - even winning the club's first Premier League title in 30 years in 2020. An autobiography full of real insight into the life of a top-flight footballer, Henderson’s story also carries an inspirational message for anyone facing hurdles and barriers, that they will not stop you reaching your goals.I may be biased but it’s one of the most enjoyable I have read and interesting to hear about his inner battles at being a Liverpool captain and player.
