The U-ART 1.9-inch accelerated Ribbon tweeter offers a more dynamic range which means even if you move around your desk, the frequencies that you hear won’t change. During sound generation, the by folded U-ART membrane leads to direct and fast response, even when the unit is maxed out or has complex transients. Accompany this with the HPS waveguide that is found in Adam Audio’s flagship S Series, ensures the monitor has a consistent dispersion and stable imaging over a broader area. If Focal Care is of significant importance to you, and you’re willing to spend a little extra cash on the inverted dome tweeter design and shelving features that the Focal Alpha 65 delivers, you won’t be disappointed with these studio monitors. For further information, you can view the full list of Alpha 65 tech specs here. Playing David Bowie’s Ashes To Ashes, which I’d also tried on the smaller ADAMs, I noticed greater depth of sound-stage, the T7Vs having an almost holographic quality. This cavernous character is something of a double-edged sword, being quite inviting and seductive, yet also robbing the monitor of immediacy and some midrange punch. The T7V Studio Monitor features two 3-way fine-tune switches that allow you to boost or cut high/low frequencies, enabling you to tailor the monitor to the room and position it's in. The fine tune controls, combined with high performance, wide frequency response, and a wide sweet spot ensure accurate sound, allowing you to produce professional results.

ADAM Audio T7V Studio Monitors, Pair Overview

At this point, I thought that if there was a tool that combined both the Spinorama with the room acoustics data, it'd be extremely useful. So all in all, great monitors sound wise. But with some ridiculous design decisions for sure. Their previous 'budget' series (F series) had both front ported bass ports and an essential on/off light on the front so it's really stupid they decided to drop these features. I would have Furthermore, Adam Audio are offering a 100-day Free Trial Account of the TIDAL Streaming Platform if you register your Adam Audio product between the 16th of September 2019 until the 31st of December 2019 via MYADAM! The ADAM Audio T Series presents a range of affordable, professional 2-way powered studio monitors that deliver exceptional performance without breaking the bank. Consisting of three models, the T5V, T7V, and T8V, these reference monitors incorporate the U-ART high-frequency driver, bevelled cabinet design, and built-in DSP-controlled driver crossovers and equalisation, ensuring an unmatched sonic experience and extended low-frequency response. It would’ve been nice to see an LED monitor on the front as we do with many other monitors these days, but it’s absence is not the worst thing in the world. Build quality 5.0

The smaller T5Vs offer more seamless integration between the two drivers; however they make up for it with a more usefully extended bass response. Maybe it’s the lower crossover frequency of 2.6kHz that makes the treble a tad more obvious and exposed. Both of ADAM’s T range nearfields offer great value for money, punching well above their weight. Audition both if you can to hear which presentation better suits your monitoring requirements. For what it’s worth, the T7V is an exceptionally designed monitor. It has some weight to it, it feels solid, and as an added benefit, they look great. meaning of these graphs, we again refer the reader to Understanding Loudspeaker Review Measurements Part II. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided.

Featuring a 7” woofer that provides bass extension down to 39 Hz, the T7V's U-ART tweeterdiaphragm provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz, which isvirtually unheard of in studio monitors at this price-point. The U-ART tweeter is fitted to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM Audio’s flagship S Series studio monitors. The waveguide’s highly uniform dispersion of high frequencies provides an incredibly wide sweet spot that frees you from being glued to a rigid mix position while working. The brand’s extensive product range, including studio monitors, reference monitors, subwoofers, and headphones, is celebrated for its unparalleled sound quality and cutting-edge technology. ADAM Audio’s products are designed to meet the demands of audio engineers, producers, and music enthusiasts alike, featuring innovations like their proprietary S-ART tweeter, ELE bass drivers, and DSP-based room correction.Again, my allegiance lies with Adam Audio, but the JBL 306P is a mildly more affordable solution to your financial woes. As aforementioned, the Adam T8V offers the broadest bass response. That doesn't necessarily mean that the Adam T5V does not deliver here. If anything, the compact delivery of the same is quite remarkable.

The T7V features a 7” woofer that provides bass extension down to 39 Hz, while the U-ART tweeter’s diaphragm provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz – virtually unheard of in monitors in this price range. The T7V utilises waveguide technology and U-ART Ribbon tweeters taken from their critically acclaimed S-Series monitors. The result is a super-wide sweet spot, balanced frequency output and stunning detail, even in the smallest control rooms. The T7V has both balanced and unbalanced inputs, as well as controls for adjusting the overall level and the high‑ and low‑frequency response. With a specified SPL rating of up to 110dB per pair at one metre, the available level is more than adequate for the intended nearfield deployment — though there’s no clip LED to warn you if you push things too hard. Furthermore, the power LED is on the rear panel; there’s no power indication visible from the front. In Practice If there is something I would have wanted it would have been a little more precise settings on the speaker for room treatment. I have it set on max boost on the low frequencies and max decrease on the highs. And I think I would have turned them even more if I had the chance. I guess I just have to treat my room a little more but I am satisfied with the sound now

The Score Card

At GAK, we take pride in offering an extensive range of ADAM Audio products, catering to the needs of both professional audio engineers and passionate music enthusiasts. Our selection of ADAM Audio studio monitors, subwoofers and headphones showcases the brand’s commitment to innovation and exceptional sonic fidelity. Renowned for their precision engineering and German craftsmanship, ADAM Audio is a leading name in professional audio, highly regarded by audio engineers and music enthusiasts worldwide. Firing up the ADAMs and playing some familiar material, I was immediately reminded of what impressed me so deeply about the smaller T5Vs. The treble response is superb, sounding clean and fast with plenty of presence and air. Transients are reproduced with trip-hammer precision yet the presentation is unforced and natural sounding. Did a lot of comparison e.g., RoKu 7 KRK all including subwoofer. The difference is without a doubt much better with the Adam T7V's. The Adam T7V is an affordable two-way studio monitor designed for vertical use in a nearfield application. The wide frequency response, high dynamic range, excellent transient response, wide sweet spot and small footprint makes the T7V perfectly suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post-production and broadcast production. Weighing in at only 7.1kg, the Adam T7Vs are equally well suited on the move. If you frequent multiple studio locations or travel aboard, there's no reason why you can't use these as part of a mobile production setup without compromising clarity and quality. Excellent acoustic characteristics, small dimensions and an outstanding cost/performance ratio make this studio monitor perfectly suited for use in small control rooms in music, video and broadcast production too.
