I'd been planning to buy a looper pedal for ages, and I finally settled on the Boss RC-1 over the TC Looper because it didn't need a separate power supply, being equipped with a 9 volt battery.
If you are new to the world of looping, the RC-1 is a great option, as it has a simple layout and is easy to use. After I toyed happily with this nice, simple but effective tool for a while, a lightbulb went off over my head. This is one looper, where you *never ever* have to worry if your loop will be long enough – everybody will be fast asleep by the time you get to the end. Since you want to concentrate on playing, that is worth something in itself.
