No hay mucho que me tienen que decir para que me den ganas de leer un libro. A veces es suficiente solo mencionar "patinaje artístico" y "slowburn" para tenerme intrigado. Y dejenme decirles, From Lukov With Love me cautivó desde la página uno. Anyways, From Lukov with Love is what I’d call a typical Mariana Zapata book. All her stories follow a pattern that is hard to miss. As friends – sure. They started as “enemies” and in time developed this really nice, deep, strong connection.

Cause not only is Edge one of my favorite all time movies and Zapata one of my favorite authors...figure skating is one of my favorite sports, so this was just a joy to read all around.

What It Is About

Last year, I fell in love with Mariana Zapata’s writing. I loved how her books were set up. They are super slow burn romance. In fact, the majority of her books aren’t necessarily about the romance. They are more about the main character’s journey within themselves. I love how that journey leads them to a romance with (usually) someone unexpected.

I believe in you. In us. Regardless of what happens, you will always be the best partner I’ve ever had. You’ll always be the hardest working person I’ve ever known. There will only ever be you.”In the end, Jazmine and Ivan’s hard work and dedication pay off. They find success in their skating careers and manage to qualify for the Olympics. Along the way, they have also fallen deeply in love and finally confess their feelings for each other. Their relationship adds an extra layer of joy and fulfillment to their achievements. From Lukov with Love is Zapata’s first book I physically read. And for the first time I experienced just how long her sentences can get :-). The book also felt slower to me, although it objectively wasn’t any slower than the other books. Just one month ago he had asked me if I was ever going to go through puberty. And in reply I had told him I’d go through it when his balls decided to drop" I mean, for real, he’s so sweet and considerate, full of interesting personality and he loves animals and has I-don’t-know-how-many dogs, a pink piggy pig and a bunny? Yeah, uh-huh, marry me already, Lukov.

I typed out a reply, because knowing them, if I didn’t, the next time I looked at my phone, I’d have an endless column of JASMINE on there until they heard from me. This book is perfect for romance enthusiasts seeking a captivating and emotional journey. If you enjoy slow-burn romances with complex characters and heartfelt storylines, From Lukov with Love is a must-read. Dive into the world of figure skating, where love and personal growth intertwine, leaving a lasting impact. Experience the power of second chances and the transformative nature of love in this beautifully written tale. Conclusion the development of the relationship? excuse me, where even was it?? there was no chemistry between the characters, nothing that'd make it believable to me, at least I mean, yes it had romantic elements to it, but this story was revolved around people finding themselves and developing and friendships and family and so so so much more. Romance wasn't even an undertone until about the 70% mark. When Ivan needs a new partner, it’s the chance that could make Jasmine’s career. Plus, it’s becoming more and more clear that Jasmine is running out of options. Every day, her world is getting smaller, and retirement looms closer. For so long, she’s struggled to balance her life as a skater and her love for her family. She’s given so much of herself away for goals that sometimes feel empty.Mariana Zapata’s writing style is known for its strong characterization and emotional depth, and “From Lukov with Love” is no exception. Jazmine is a relatable and inspiring protagonist, and readers will root for her every step of the way. The novel is a captivating journey that will leave readers feeling uplifted and hopeful. For one, Jasmine had a personality. Now, hear me out, usually in romance books the female main character has nooo personality. She just whines and complains about worthless shit the entire book and the guy ends up carrying the entire book. But not Jasmine, she was like a breath of fresh air. she actually had a personality and i love her with my entire being.
